Creative software can be intimidating in the beginning, but with some determination and effort you can achieve amazing things. I learned Photoshop on my own with the many tutorials available online. (try Google; searching for information is quick and easy!)

lynda.com software training - Requires payment (although there is a 7 day free trial!), price listings on their website.
Lynda.com offers video tutorials taught by experts on just about every piece of software, from AutoCAD to CorelDRAW to ZBrush.

Teaching yourself requires a lot of dedication. Block out some time in a day to learn, and you could be a pro after some time!

Nothing happens instantly, slowly but surely, it will. Hopefully some of these general tips will help you!
